Reminisce on this, from me to you
Find the strength to break through
The courage to be true
The fortune to stay away from the blue

To start, bow your head and listen
I chose god to christen
No matter your choice
You didn't have a voice

But now that you're grown
all you feel is alone
Never raise your tone
You can't let them hear
they don't condone fear
Three years was yest'
put to the test
Showed him what I learned
I saw the concern
Darting from my mother's eye
to the doctor nearby
I heard her cry
I wasn't ready to say goodbye
so I proved my turn
I fought and I listened
as if I were being taught
they held out a hand and there I was caught
For no money I could ever be bought
That memory I don't admire
I attempt to retire
Every time, it comes back like fire
But since I'm passin
You gotta be aware
But listen and don't run with the scare
Its not a grizzly bear
let me lead you with this clause
I'm not santa, he's a made up claws
Please don't be sad
I've got some advice
Don't ever mess up thrice
Maybe twice wasn't meant
But three, you can't pitch that tent
A saying I once heard
I never understood
But I found the twist
Ignorance is a bliss
Sweeter than a kiss
From your high school sweet heart
That moment where
You look in her eyes and stare
Nothing would tear y'all apart
but it's true, even when you feel left out
God is smiling down, callin out
it'll be easier to handle this now,
rather than later
Don't take him for a traitor
He knows only the best
Even when you feel stressed
He just wants you to understand you're blessed
With something written where no one can see it
It's a little crest
Deep within,
No lower than your shin
Or higher than your chin
Just take a sip of gin and let the times go

Just a word from the wise
Its his word in disguise
Don't stray away from the guys
Who would never let you down
Anytime you're about to drown
