Parting

Parting

Hebrews 4:12

12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any double-edged sword, piercing even to the point of dividing soul from spirit, and joints from marrow; it is able to judge the desires and thoughts of the heart.

We need to understand, you know,

that ignorance ain’t bliss.

A simple matter of knowledge

is required to get along.

In the natural and spiritual world

God’s laws do all apply.

If we don’t find it in the Book

it comes at times in a song.

The outer and inner man

have to be divided.

Both spirit and soul

show life’s principles.

In lostness and carnality

they basically are one

and through Christ The Son

are shown in singleness.

The pathway of confusion,

that we love to travel,

forces us in directions

shown by our own mind.

Truth’s vaguest image,

of right and wrong inside us,

renders us total helpless

in the mess of our own kind.

The Way ... whose mark is Holiness,

is traveled by the committed,

who in the level of obedience

show the condition they are in.

Knowing that the flesh is weak

and can defile man’s spirit,

they lean on The Son of God,

Who delivers them from sin.
