Parents

The know nothing, yet they know everything

Like a bird, Im trapped beneath a sheltered wing

They always ask where and how Ive been

And want to talk every now and then

They send me away wrong and expect me to return right

But how am I to learn if they hold me so tight

They dont want me to rewrite their past

But my adolescent years will solely last

Trust is the best love to give

And send me away to freely live
