Parade of the innocent ...

2 Timothy 4:7

I have competed well; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith!

Jesus showing off His army

There they come ... not at all what I expected

The armies of the Lord appearing like vagabonds

Carrying the wounded ... some are even crawling

Is that called victorious ... is that the final end?

Helmets are dented and shields split in two

The girdle seems unblemished as sandals still support

Approaching the narrow gate as Jesus stands there smiling

with tears in His eyes ... and their hearts in His hand

Touching the Hand of His father as He whispered “well done”

to the troops as they are passing and are just struggling on

The Father lifts both hands ... a miracle in the making

and glorified the troops arise ... all pain is now forgotten

Even the ones who fell behind ... still in prayer for the lost

now surround the Throne of God as united in Christ they stand

They sing “Glory to the Highest” ... to the Pure and Innocent

Thank You! Giver of all blessings ... set aside for Christ’s begotten
