Paper Money in Books of Gold

Location

(Written in regret of standardized tests, and dedicated to the dying art of classroom creativity.)

paper money

kept inside

cement walls

burning her mind

with books of gold

(was that right?)

steal me some scissors

or a piece of your mind.

cut copy and paste.

not one left behind.

(can i say that?)

Show me your mouth.

Show me your mind.

Show me your words.

Show me your time.

Show me your youth

show me your small show that we play.

to appease and appall.

show all the eyes, that don't care to see.

show me their minds, full of paper money

 in their skin and blood.

gold in our books

.to appease and appall.
