Palace Of Despair

He broke me, dragged me

to his dingy white van

I could not stand, bruised

and waving out of reality

for how could he do this to me

Even that night beneath the stars

passed the school bells and its walls

Screamed at me, galvanized my steps

He took me here to his van to kidnap me.

his physical oppression tore at me, leaving me

in utter darkness and into the palace of despair

I only sat there wondering why, how and hate

filled my heart with raw gumption

For too many years i laid bare, bruised and open

I could not bare, I could not stand

this sight of him.

I was left bruised and shut in to my own

palace of despair.
