Painted Horses

Location

Park Avenue Weehawken
United States
40° 46' 0.1812" N, 73° 58' 1.83" W

I spoted a New York liscense plate hanging from your chest

as you parade the streets, from one boro to next.

The best artists around can't wait till' you come to town

but on this day it so happened you were Weehawken bound.

You displayed your colors- some blue and some gray

the names of the writers that met you one day.

You are a painted horse galloping in glory.

Each tag on your frame tells a new story.

So here I stand on Park Ave in amazement

As you continue uptown, bringing color to pavement
