Pain engraved in a majority

Location

Pain engraved in a majority of this heart of mine.

Partially hidden in some areas, wounds wide open in others but I refuse to let a tear fall as I barely tell you this tale of me

Each cut on the outside was a stitch on the inside.

Each puncture of a needle through my skin, a band on my wrist... all the same effect an abundance of tears now rehearsed smiles later.

But no one sees the mist of a tear behind, or senses the torment inside.

No one digs deep enough underneath the surface, no one thinks I'm worth it...
