Pain

I remember the night so clear

Years ago

The first time I saw you weak

In pain

Scared

There was this pain you couldn't hold in

but didn't want to show

I came and sat on your bed next to you

You said you had to go tomorrow

Crying

As I came closer to hug you

Your teardrop

Slowly rolled down my cheek

I wiped it

Next day

You went back

Found out it was back

That evil thing

You were fine before

But then weeks later

The call was made

You died from that evil thing called cancer

And I wish I kept that teardrop on my cheek
