Since the moment of our existence,

this is what we feel.

Taking our first breath

and thus, we shed our first tear.

No to forget that childhood scar  you have. Yea, that one, the one that is impossible to ignore.

Oh the pain.

The shrill screams, the descending wails,

blending into a distant blur you could no longer hear.

And when you die,

if you're unlucky, this sensation

is yet again here.

Oh what simple, lasting pain.
