Pain

I feel it taking over me inside

The cries, the struggles

The pain that needs to be set free

Why did you hurt me?

Why must I feel the way I do because of you

So many questions gone unanswered

I will not let it take over me

My pain is my struggles

My pain is not my life

Struggles are meant to be overcame

So my pain is meant to be out of the way

Tears of joy because the weight of sorrow has been lifted

Tears of joy because I have found the strength in me

Pain is no longer my struggle

Questions are no longer unanswered

Pain will always be there

But, my heart will always be aware
