Pagan Inclinations

Location

The world was like a

Dream

Today I breathed out

And let my thoughts stream

Into the cool and wet daylight

Which wore the clouds

Like a lady

Wears

A scarf, veiling, twirling,

Smooth on her skin

On the sky

And

The trees sighed in pleasure

Flowers burst out

But kept silent

Mirroring waters with dripping

Feelings

Of contentment

After the cool

Soothing

Rain

Fell on your wounds

She sings with the birds

Touches scars and scabs

Gently, slowly

Her children begging for shelter

Alone

I stood with her

And whispered out my pain

She took it

Turned

It into something beautiful

Tears

Falling softly

Murmuring musings and reveries

Is it worth it to

Stay?

I asked her and God and the wind

And the grass and

Foxes rooting about

And they replied

Yes
