Oxygen

Have you ever wanted something more than oxygen?
More than the very thing that sustains life?
It’s ironic yet demanding
A paradox of epic proportions and yet, it seems reasonable in your mind
It’s not a desire for the materialistic
It’s an emotion
A yearning
Something worth the theft of your breath
The scale of justice weighs existence or fulfillment
Fulfillment for
approval and acceptance
Love and Understanding
Support and Forgiveness
Healing and Resurrection
Peace and happiness
Fulfillment throws existence into imbalance
When the scale is overwhelmed
Who needs oxygen?
