The Overlooked Yet Awesome
Our trivial existence
In this gargantuan world
Is full of awesome
One I may consider
Is the one I call my father
A man of self-deprecation
He values his family more than his troubled knee can keep
Despite his grueling preserverance in the workforce
Despite the loss of his better half, his friend, his children's mother
He manages to keep food on the table
Once only and soley the breadwinner
He became the mother
All the while sacrificing
Any simple leisure
For himself, his self, and him
Yet he is wherever and whenever there, when he is in need
For that I say the one whom I call my father
The Overlooked Yet Awesome
For all the things he done, but for not himself
Is Awesome
