Outside Looking In

Location

On the outside looking in,

Seems that's where I've always been,

Lost in this world, screaming from within,

Only God can save me from this life of sin

"Don't stop smiling," is what I tell myself,

"'cause you never know who might like the way you carry yourself."

I'm bound to get hurt, like they wanna hurt me with a passion,

Might as well wear my heart on my sleeve, like it's the new fashion

Letting someone in, is not my thing,

But eventually, I'm gonna have to give in,

Maybe, soon, I don't know;

It's been 5 months since we've began,

Me and this one guy, I might save him, for the end,

he's really funny and super sweet,

I just hope that his plan isn't to leave me while I'm weak;

You see, I'm going through a lot of things,

I just need someone to talk to,

other than Kelly; Kelly's awesome, but I'm like an open book,

she may not mean to, but in the future:

we may fall off, like we never knew each other

For God I live, for Him I would die,

I just wish that life came with a rain-check

On the outside looking in,

Seems that's where I've always been,

Lost in this world, screaming from within,

Only God can save me from this life of sin
