                                 Out of Your Way

I heard a story about a lady with 2 little boys.

She said somebody took them. Someone stole her pride and joy.

The whole town was in shock, and they rallied for the cause.

Searched the fields and thru the woods, for those babies she had lost.

But then one day she broke down, and on the evening news,

she said she knew right where they were. For a rich man's love she choose.

They all gathered at the waters edge. To their grief and their despair,

were those two little baby boys, drowned in her car she left there.

Listen, can't you hear them crying,  and don't you see their eyes,

begging for you to save them. Why didn't you save them.

Hear your babies cry...

"Mommy, did we do something wrong.

Mommy, sing us our last bedtime song".

"Now we died in the waters deep,

the car rolled in, you didn't weep.

That rich man said we were in his way.

So for you and he to be together, we had to die today".

"Now, we are out of his way, Mommy.

" You made sure we are out of your way".
