Out of Place

I’m already a misfit out of place

The one you just can’t seem to embrace

Not because I’m bad or because I’m good

I can’t be pegged in the way you think I should

Some say don’t pay no mind

While I try to remind myself that standing out isn’t bad

Things will get better in time

So don’t unwind the differences but behold them

Hold on to them like a badge of honor to show the haters that they didn’t make a difference
