We are living life through a screen

Driven by human solace lying among the pixels

Images retrieved from the vast wasteland

Memories woven into materialistic threads

Ambivalent parasites have attached once more.

Seeping masses of minds have deteriorated,

In pieces, like brain cells,

Scattered across a lifetime, yet to be found.

Only with hope appearing on the horizon

Emerges a chance for humankind to mend her ways.

Whether the material world has won,

Or the precedent world has faded,

Reminiscent of what was, is dominated by our screen.
