Why did your self-esteem hit the floor? Was it because of the bullies who beat you to the core? People always talking about stopping the bullies and stuff Always taking about how enough is enough But the only time they really care Is when that one kid that was once there ain't there That's the only time they face the crimes Reading it all through the New York Times Saying that this time they'll make a change When we know it's just going to stay the same That little man will always be pushed around It'll never stop for him until he's been pushed so down Or buried six feet underground With no one ever on his side Or ever sticking up for what's right Until he's been pushed out of sight Like the dirt swallowed him whole Everyone pushing him down never paying the toa But one day everyone will push him so far He'll look in the mirror covered in scars His life won't seem worth the fight Stuck in the dark that boy's life got no light But everyone will remember his face Let's go visit his new place The stone with his name engraved Remember him? He was the one begging to be saved He's gone now and everyone's crying When you know that they're just lying Their fake tears don't bring him back Their words of change are all wack He just wanted a friend Little to know this was his end Kid filled with so many dreams The tears flowing like water from streams This is our new improved world Get out my face you guys make me want to hurl This world hates people for no reason Emotions changing like seasons Always putting the little man down Gotta make sure he's wearing that frown You pick on them all white, yellow, black, or brown Yeah welcome to this generation Where it's fuck you and your nation We're all created equal has gone away Hate and discrimination have come to play Love and hope I guess just didn't want to stay This is where we live Just seems like no one wants to give Hate and discrimination Took over this nation Good bye peace and communication Times have changed from now on All hope seems to have gone How we hope for equality Has gone down in quality The life we once had Has gone and passed Say hello to technology Now we're all born with the same Philosophy We're robots now missing a heart We lost all the good we had at the start This new world is starting to suck Our language has changed to "bitches, shits, and fucks" Grammar has gone out the window This is the worst we've ever been though Gangs, guns and drugs are labeled as cool Someone gets shot in almost every school I lose friends from all over I feel like teens are suddenly getting the cold shoulder Like we're all just a big problem But I don't see anyone trying to solve them It just seems easier to blame others Though that doesn't change the lost of my sisters and brothers Or fix broken hearts of mothers We can all together make a change But instead we choose to do nothing but complain Or play the blame game We have the power but do nothing isn't that strange?
