Our Kind of Love

Wed, 09/13/2017 - 17:24 -- MhC14

Because I love you, little sister

You dance under a sky full of gray and rain

You sing silly songs in the shower

You tell me about your day

When we talk, we talk for hours

In between homework help

And Michael Phelps

I can never get in a word edgewise

Just know that you are like the sunrise

You are so full of life and audacity

Please don’t ever lose your tenacity

Because I love you, little sister

The bond of blood is thicker than water

I will be there for you when you falter

No matter how many times

I must do your laundry

I do it for you fondly

In between piano practice

And the Friday night varsity football game

I hope that you always stay the same

Together we three

Are an unstoppable force of humility

In a fight against uncertainty

We are blessed beyond measure

God gave us a family forever

And together we

Are life long friends

Until the very end
