Ordinary Girl

Location

Am I not good enough for them?
Is who I am not who they want me to be?
They want me to be this plastic, perfect figure that I don’t see
And they need to know, they need to know

That I’m an ordinary girl with her own dreams
I don’t ever want to be someone who’s not me
So stop telling me what to do
You’ve told me through and through
But I don’t ever want to be someone who’s not me

But why do I let them push me around?
All they ever do is put all of my dreams down
They want me to be someone who’ll bend to their will
Someone that I can’t be
They don’t know, oh they’ll never know

That I’m an ordinary girl with her own dreams
I don’t ever want to be someone who’s not me
So stop telling me what to do, you’ve told me through and through
But I don’t ever want to be someone who’s not me

They tell me to be this, and they tell me to be that
When can I just be myself?
They tell me to be this, and they tell me to be that
When will they see?

That I’m an ordinary girl with her own dreams
I don’t ever want to be someone who’s not me
So stop telling me what to do, you’ve told me through and through
But I don’t ever want to be someone who’s not me
