The Optimist

To go forth without a doubt,

To make way for all scorn,

And lie alone, perceived a lout,

While on the inside–broken, beat, and torn.

The Optimist is the name they gave,

A name attributed to negativity.

Unrecognized, he is more brave

Than the Skeptics who lack his creativity.

The Optimist is dreaming,

Dreaming of a better future to come.

The Skeptics are screaming,

Screaming, "Of sense are you detached from!"

But the smartest Skeptic does not hold his wonderful mind,

To be the rising leader of all man kind.

For the Skeptic, is a future to which they are blind,

But for me, the Optimist, a bright future defined.
