I open my eyes this morning 

To cry so many tears 

Then deal with so many fears. 

I open my eyes and 

I came to realize that 

The whole world is in fear. 

I open my eyes at the TV 

To hear only one thing: 

The coronavirus is spreading. 

I open my eyes on social media 

To find that Joe Biden 

Is putting us in danger. 

I open my eyes and wonder 

How much longer Donald Trump 

Will continue to destroy America. 

I open my eyes and remember 

That the whole world is 

Fighting for a better tomorrow. 

I open my eyes to try 

To remain hopeful and strong 

For a better future.
