If only,

The scars can vanish

Then for many, confidence can be restored

The story behind them gone as well.

If only those terrifying events could have been a pebble in the water

Leaving a temporary ripple,

Unlike the earthquakes that occur when the pain is seduced

Leaving towns and monuments broken and the ground beneath fragile

Are the results of the past.

If only I can relive those times,
