One moment

Ecclesiastes 3:1 New King James Version (NKJV)

Everything Has Its Time

To everything, there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:

Here I am without myself ... brought down low past the gutter

I can’t see past my being ... what was good now is cluttered

Pay the price for my actions ... a closet full of skeletons

Little now seems attractive ... dropped out of God’s telethon

Struggling alone up the mountain ... agony and pain without energy

All I want too is to stop and rest to let defeat have its synergy

The race is not won by the 1st one ... but by the ones who endure

All in all what’s overdone imprints facts deeply for sure

My next breath secures some seconds ... my faith displayed by my head in hand

The thoughts at peace like a block of ice ... are nowhere to be found in this desert land

My old nature waving a flag of noise ... while my spirit flies quietly half-mast

A puff of silence for the dearly departed ... bringing shame to the ones in the cast

One moment up then down forever as it seems I can’t do anything right

Is all lost and am I forgotten in my habitual state that conquers the night

Let me be as I need your presence ... leave me alone in need of company

Once I was free to taste the essence of the priceless gift called: “Eternity!”
