One Job May Change My Life: A snipers path

I would walk this  secret path,

that no one could see,

my signature sound,

would make my enemies flee.

My aim  would stay straight,

and my hand would be  steady,

for when my country calls,

my rifle and my mind would be ready.

It might be paved by the shells I fired,

and the dog tags of men i've protected

all leading to the path,

that the holy have directed.

For I wouldn't enjo the kill,

but I would serve to protect the one I love,

even if it means that I might sooner get a key,

to heaven above.
