One Job May Change My Life.
Location
The door swung open with a mighty push,
florecent light swept across my eyes.
Franticly people shuffle around,
choatic thoughts and calm movements.
A loving place full of injury and sickness,
but also plenty of care.
A place full of the hardworking,
a place filled with tender hands.
Even in moments of worry, stress, and pain
a doctor can be relied on.
Healing and mending, doing their best.
A patient will leave, in life or in death.
If in death, they will have died under good care;
What could be done, will had been pursued.
The doctor will be no less of a hero,
the patient always remembered by his caretaker.
If in life, the best outcome achieved;
Joy will be followed by celebration.
The doctor will deeply inhale,
some of his stress relieved.
I have dreams of joining these men and women.
This one job and my life will never be the same,
filled with new outlooks on life
and not only my change.
