One day I know

I'll be waiting by the phone 

I'll get the call

"You've got the job"

And that will be the day

The day everything changes.

The day that all the nay sayers

All the haters

Will be standing with their jaws on the floor

They thought wrong

They thought I wouldn't be successful

They thought you couldn't do anything with communications

But here I am

With my first real job

Editing a TV show, making a documentary

It doesn't matter what it is

Right now

Because 

I'll be happy

I know this is where I'm supposed to be,

What I'm meant to do

I don't need anyone else to validate the rest of my life.

Because this is who I am

I am Me

Not anyone else's version of who I should be

Not anyone's version of what success should be

I am Me.
