that one day

It all began that one day.

It was a dark and dreary day.

I could sense what was coming.

I could feel it in my bones.

Something good and bad was going to happen.

I looked around, and all the other animals were restless.

In the distance we could hear the dog fights.

They were terrible.

I got up and trotted over to a friend.

She his in the woods, to keep from getting caught by my owners.

I could feel the puppies move.

As I walked into the woods, I could see the stallion.

He was a black stallion with one white sock.

We made a plan that today we would escape.

He said he help me as far as the shelter, but no further.

Because he was a wild horse.

But I told him, that I did not want him to go, once we reached the shelter.

When we arrived, they took us in.

We found good homes and so did the puppies.

It is sad to say that most of the dogs were scared of leaving.

Because that is the only way of that they know.
