One Day

Location

One Day

I imagine a day on Mars.

I am a vulture.

I search the maroon ground,

But loose what I seek.

I soar to a peak,

Volcano.

I imagine a day on Jupiter.

I am a flame.

I spark when I glare

Yet I cannot escape the fumes.

He’s a typhoon,

I combust.

I imagine a day on Saturn.

I am a genie.

Voices beckon as I

Skate across her polished rings.

Too tempting,

I plunge.

I imagine a day on Uranus.

I ride the tightrope.

My spokes grab the vertical strings

Of his slanted orb.

My body askew,

I release.

I imagine a day on Neptune.

Am I a ghost?

Chimes count the tears

For I lay near a shrine of shadows.

Blue dust caress my spirit,

I drift.

I imagine a day on Earth.
