Once Upon a Time...a tale of seeing good
Once Upon a Time... a tale of seeing good
Death
and Birth-
the two certainties of this tale
for everything between is what we make of it.
Lest it makes us.
Once upon a time
a miracle occurred.
Two cells collided
through chance
(and loving care)
two separate entities created another
full of life,
promise,
and hope.
As this miracle grew
her environment grew toxic too.
CLANGING!
and
SHOUTING!
and
the tense silence that followed
always.
She turned from adolescence
too soon,
from tot to teen.
Yet the environment's tune
transfigured too.
From background to fore,
as understanding from lore.
Once unable to empathize
with creation, her elder.
She now knew.
Turned to tune and beat
-blocked out the heat
from once upon a time.
In this land of tune and word
she learned.
To Rise Above This
and that it is
Never Too Late.
So she took the Fates
into her hands.
And wove her thread anew,
of black and gold.
The Black-
to never forget and learn.
The Gold-
to see treasure, her life and world.
From then on she sparkled not,
but shone,
from the lessons
that life bestowed.
For she could now create this tale
and see the good in all
for everything leads to something,
and something led to all.
The tale of this one?
That your world is not as dark
as night's shadows.
But as bright as you make it
as everything in thine own tale
created a miracle.
You.
And never forget the beauty
that lies all around,
lest you let life slumber aground.
