Old Friend

Hello old friend,

Can you believe my arrival is right around the bend?

I hoped you missed me

Cause I missed you

I even turned blue

Don't worry I've been fine

A great set of friends kept me in line.

They were there when I needed a shoulder

Now i won't be carrying a huge boulder

A great person I have turned out to be

Only with persistance they set me free

No longer shy but I am bold

So many stories I haven't told

I learned to say no, yes most defiantly

I've become reborn,self reliantly

When you see me dear friend

I'm still slightly the same

I just learned difficulty how to play everyone's game

So when you spot me around the bend

Welcome me and say

Hello old friend
