Old Dreams

Silly little girl, quit your dreaming

This world is not for you.

The tide is crashing in again,

The lies all scream they’re true

You struggle to find some peace

Amidst the soot of blackened dreams

But old embers flare to burn you

Ones you thought you’d put to sleep

You took the walls down for an instant

And the dark got in again

Bright eyes fade to dull

Your heart is full of pain
