Oil and Water

Loving you was like grasping oil

Always treated you like you were royal

Only to have you slip out of my fingertips.

Loving you had me inhaling flames

Didn't know who to blame

While your heat consumed the ice.

Loving you has me sweating cats and dogs

That the next gentlemen will leave me without first writing an epilogue

You've robbed so much of me - there's no point of returning home.

But loving you has also taught me forgiveness

That true love is actually limitless

So no matter how much my head throbs and my heart aches

I will never cease the pursuit of stumbling upon True Love's face.
