Oh! Ye of little faith
Mark 9:23-24 New English Translation
23 Then Jesus said to him, “‘If you are able?’ All things are possible for the one who believes.” 24 Immediately the father of the boy cried out and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!”
Mark 2:9-11 New English Translation
9 Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Stand up, take your stretcher, and walk’? 10 But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins,”—he said to the paralytic— 11 “I tell you, stand up, take your stretcher, and go home.”
Whether you believe it or not is not the issue.
The question is what’s more accessible and hinges on the truth
To Jesus, there were no obstacles, and nothing was impossible
The religious crowd in faithlessness all acted like the flu
To speak the words straightforward but to mean them, you can fake
To see the words jump into action and only for Heaven’s Sake
It will take more than just a tongue driven by an unknown reason
It takes faith in the love and power of God presented here to save
We know what God wills He communicates through His Spirit
We don’t need to verbalize too often as He silently instills
The things we need to live by and the direction we need to travel
Standing still is suitable for rest and listening how His Wishes to fulfill
The question often arises deep within: “What is faith in God.”
It is said to be so simple that even little children can explain this
They don’t need to talk as they are already a living example
Maybe redemption expresses the fact that it is Grace’s simple gift
Just believing that God is All in All and nothing is impossible for Him
And to know and trust that God will do for me what is best
His Love is immense and beyond comprehension in offering His only Son
That my hope is embodied in His Faithfulness as He shows me proper rest
