Oh sweet moon, why must you charm me?
Surely you know what you do.
Why else do you show yourself?
Just leave me.

Oh lovely moon, why must you taunt me?
To show yourself for only night,
Is to drive me to madness.
Just disappear from me.

Oh extravagant moon, why must you lure me?
Do you enjoy my pain?
Of desiring you so much?
Just vanish from me.

Oh gone moon, why must you torture me?
Why did you listen to me?
Why listen to the idiot?
Just come back to me.

Oh curious moon, why must you confuse me?
My confusion is great,
I do not know what I want.
Just help me.

Oh fair moon, why must you shame me?
I was surely wrong.
My heart will not last.
Just return to me.

Oh divine moon. Oh magnificent moon!
I love you so much.
Please don’t leave me.
Just stay with me.
