Oh the Places Words Go

Location

Brazil, Honduras, Mozambique

Languages are so unique

By learning and trying for such a long time

I have gained the knowledge needed to speak

Across oceans I have gone; at first I was meek

When I arrived in new places I wasn't so sure

I didn't know how to speak in a new language and I slur

My words came out timid, so scared to try

To speak with new people; I thought I might die

But fret not, I had the skills

By learning to place nouns, verbs, and doing the drills

I had learned to use words in a positive way

To tell others about Christ; what a glorious day

I have to tell more; my passion is growing

For now they know the One; the all-knowing

Such a great love he is for us all

He reaches out his arms and says "come one, come all"

He gives us a tool, the written word to read

That tells us great stories that show us how to be

Christ loves you and he loves me

Give him your life and you will be full of glee

Say "Abba, Father.. it is you that I love"

He will provide plenty and give you the peace of the dove.

So come, dear friend and accept the present

Of life everlasting, in heaven, incandescent
