An Ode to Our America

Lo, hark and take heed this grand nation that

Towers as a behemoth above all

That dare challenge its authority at

Their foolish peril and witness this fall.

America the great! America:

The Majesty of this entire Globe!

Who houses greatness like Grecian Ithaca

And holds the humble beginnings of Job.

Yet what has our society become?

We place our own judgements upon that of

Pedestals that are hailed as the kingdom

For others to follow rather than love

Those who we hear that stand against our own

Thoughts instead of love all those we e’er known.
