An Ode to "Great America"

America isn’t new

America isn’t great

How could a country thrive on hate?

Unemployment is high

Education is low

How much further down can our country go?

Fear not, our future can be preserved

Let’s listen to our leaders

Allow their voices be heard…

Let’s burn bridges

Let’s build walls

Let’s suppress Muslims, Jews, Gays and all

Let’s ban abortions and women’s rights to choose

Let’s kick out immigrants, what do they have to lose?

Let’s defund public schools

Let’s condemn free speech

Let’s silence the masses who refuse to accept defeat

Let’s wave at the Russians

Let’s smile at the KKK

Let’s take away transgender rights

Oh what a glorious day

When did "Land of the Free" transform into "Land of the Suppressed"

When did "Freedom of Speech" transform into "Silence the Press"

When did "Liberty & Justice for All" transform into " Only Those Born Here"

When did "America the Brave" transform into "Fight All With Fear"

America isn't new

America isn't great

How could a country thrive on hate?
