Ode to Books

A book can be diminutive or tall.

The print can be massively large or small.

Never judge a book by its cover,

For you could become its next lover.

Try to become part of the story,

Suspenseful, humorous, or gory.

There are many terrific types of tales.

Each one needs exploring--so, WHOOSH, set sail!

Whatever you do, it's important to read.

Read slowly, or read with a lightning speed.

But remember, always treasure a book,

Even if it's a stinky, old textbook.
