Ocean

Life is an ocean,
Beautiful,and calm,
Luring me in with its turquoise blanket
Of gentle rolling waves.
Sometimes it gets rough
Throwing every hard wave it can find at you,
Struggling as it nearly swallows you whole,
You gasp for air while twirling on its tongue,
Then finally spits you back out onto the sand.
