The Obscurity of Religion

Location

The gift of intellect was bestowed,

And was accompanied by ignorance.
But even with the aspects we owned,
Our species put up resistance.

So much has been made known, yet,

Questions remain unanswered,
Then faith comes to silence our inquest,
And prevents our minds from being shattered.

If I could change the societal abyss,
I would create unity,
By eliminating the darkness,
Never leaving us lost in obscurity.

Obtaining the answers to the universe,
Would prevent animosity.
Since there would be no rebut to verse,
The human race would be free of curiosity.

Faith would not be needed,
There would be no question asked.
Religion would no longer be heeded,
And transcendence would be achieved, at last.
