Oblivion
Oblivion, obliteration
the vasst emptiness encompasses me.
Darkness is all I see
when the drums of life beat no more.
The pain, the loneliness
is all too much to contain.
The magnitude of life
may just wither away.
Where is the light I so
yearn to crave?
Not here, not there.
Sheets of black around me.
I see a speck, a glimmer,
a beam of hope.
Yes, finally, may this
bleak, dull life disappear.
