Numbing Pain

If I cut my wrists and close my eyes

I wouldn’t even notice

Because the pain inside

Is my mind’s main focus

I hear my heart shatter

And I gasp for relief

The pain is blinding

It’s all I can perceive

If I drown myself in alcohol

And feast on these pills

The numb death of my body

Will match how I feel

I sew my mouth shut

So I can’t call you back

And I will myself to forget

Your sinister attack.

These words are so dark and hostile, not only to oneself but to the person it's directed to. The verbs you use are just utterly beautiful, you really have a way with capturing your audience's attention. But, if this is how you personally feel, I hope poetry is just a way to vent and release stress. If you're feeling suicidal, please get the help you need. Your writing is beautiful, and it'd be a shame if you couldn't continue your lovely work. <3

ToxicInyx

thank you for your concern and especially your kind words. It's actually an old poem, before I got the help I needed, so no worries. <3
