Return the heart you’ve turned away
You’re not satisfied then I don’t know what’s best
Want to believe feelings are still there as you left
The broken hearts of yesterday
As of now, I wait, and hope you don’t play
Affection now, for what you guess
May be something more, could be less
Accept my words, live for today
Your roses wilted, as love burned
Yet trust in me, my love and truth
Dwell in my heart, from which you’ve turned
Told me you wouldn’t change but where is the proof
Maybe having you is something I haven’t earned
Blinded by ignorance or it’s just our youth
