Nothing’s Changed, No Progress has been made

Mon, 11/25/2019 - 10:53 -- snijem

1776,this amendment was made

And we’re still paying the consequences today

It’s 2019, and were at 340 bodies totalled up a day

Can’t this gun war just go away

We see it on the news, but this is all old

Coming home and seeing the stats grow

The police waiting for more shots to unfold

Gun violence in the media is just a blow

“Suns out, guns out” thats the motto

Guns blazing,the street shaking

Beating the  bullet, is like winning the lotto

Bullets  spraying, while the city  stay sleeping

1776 this amendment was made

2019 there hasn’t been much change

Expecting background checks to keep us safe

Unable to acknowledge that no progress has been made

The Nations slowly bleeding, “All hail the land of the Free”

Everyone says to let the second amendment be

Ignorant to all the hurting

Unable to understand all the mothers’ wailing.
