Not Your House Doll

I will tell you what I am not.

I am not someone to be pushed around, or someone who likes their emotions to be played with.

I AM a human being, I am someone with feelings inside of me, and a beating heart.

I am NOT  a doll on a shelf in some playhouse.

I am beautiful, and strong and couragous.

I am am not the cruel words spoke to me day-in and day-out: ugly, annoying, bitch.

I am someone who will fight for what I believe in.

I am NOT  a doll on a shelf, to just watch and wait as the days go by, constantly contemplating my own life.

I am curious to know though, someone please inform me.

When did it become okay to denounce someone's worth based on your own opinion, especially in the eyes of the public?

When did it become okay to make someone feel like they weren't born for a reason, or that their life doesn't matter.

When did this first start, and when are people going to stand up and realize how fucked up this generation is becoming? And it only goes downhill from there.

I AM ENOUGH.

I AM NOT WORTHLESS.

I AM NOT STUPID.

I AM NOT ALL THE WORDS YOU SAY.

I AM NOT THE RUMORS THAT FLY AROUND SCHOOL.

I AM ALIVE.

AND MY HEART IS BEATING,

AND THAT IS HOW I KNOW I BELONG HERE.

I could have given up two years ago,

took some pills and ended my life because there was nobody to tell me that I was special.

I felt like a nobody, I was a social outcast, I felt dead inside.

But life got better, I found my escape: music.

Music is the reason I am alive.

People, anyone reading this who feels alone,

please know you are NOT alone,

there are hotlines, there is pens and paper, there is music, find your escape from the bullshit this world is creating.

Don't cut your skin because you don't feel you're good enough, the people who denounce your worth are the scum of the world, I do not know you but I DO know you are here for a REASON.

YOU can change this world.

YOU can give your life a new meaning.

YOU can stop the pain, ignore the bullshit, and start over again.

YOU matter.

YOU are going to do great things.

Just believe.
