not just running

Location

they think it's a nuisance

the way we run around

barefoot

dashing past

adults with jobs and responsibilities

hair down, arms flailing

eyes full of wonder and amusement

sun beating down

feet scorched by boiling asphalt

careless.

thats how they see us

we're just not running, though

we know what's coming

we know the

real world

is about to become something

relevant to us

we're not just running past

we're living

now.

now is what we have so we take it

we take it and

run

jump

soar

scream

cry

laugh

fly

soar

spin

dance

every minute

every second

devoured.

we're not just running
