Not Everything is Awesome Poem.

To receive my first acceptance letter was bliss,

but my first semester bill was mournful.

I wish it were something I could dismiss,

my semester bill, not college for I expect that to be joyful.

I took for granted my free education,

cause now it’s on me to pay with the no money I possess.

Therefore my only options are to apply for scholarships and fill out a loan application,

which acquire a process normally filled with stress.

What about financial aid, one may suggest,

I am not a fool, I did apply.

But they did not help to much of my request,

I blame our economy, for it’s the bad guy.

Obama once made a remark,

that about $80 billion of our tax money is spent on those locked up. Just acknowledge

on how much that would help. Now let me tell you what Obama said we could embark,

he stated that we could have free tuition for every public university and college.

Imagine that alleviation,

more people would be able to accomplish their goals.

Families may be able to afford a vacation,

and awesomeness would be shooting out of people’s souls.

But unfortunately the goals of children are being afflicted,

for financially they cannot place themselves under any type of debt.

Making their education restricted,

which may seem unfair, I bet.

Therefore not everything is awesome,

I wish it could be.

But it’s unable to blossom,

because our education is no longer free.
