Non-Related Bond

I stumbled upon the leaves

wires just underneath

meant for me

tied to the mine indeed.

He watched me the whole time

I saw him creepin out the corner of

my eye.

I reached first he moved back

and jerked at his jacket.

Both of us stood amidst

a person on the other strand of the earth

I had no beef with.

Matter of fact his skin was just as shaded as I

a lot closer than the “brothers” banded to my side.

There we formed a treaty between us

kill each other for what?

Neither one of us felt obligated

nor even commander mandated.

There I met a rural man

looking back though it was just a fellow human.
